This specialized role focuses on developing, deploying, and optimising data management processes across diverse client projects. As a Data Management Engineer, you will be pivotal in implementing data quality frameworks and data catalogs, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of our customers’ data assets.
As part of your role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical implementations, and implement the agreed-upon solutions. You are also responsible for ensuring the implemented solutions are effectively used and integrated within the customer's environment. This includes overseeing governance processes and providing necessary training to facilitate adoption and utilization.
Finally, you are passionate about the topic and eager to support colleagues implementing modern data platforms and AI solutions ensuring proper management by design. Job requirements
💪 The Skills
Your professional background should include:
- Expertise in Data Management with proven experience in implementing:
- Data Catalog solutions with tools such as Zeenea, OpenMetaData, Atlan, or Collibra,
- Data Quality frameworks with tools such as Soda, Great Expectations, or Monte-Carlo,
- Master Data Management with tools such as Ataccama or Informatica.
- This is not an exhaustive list; we are also interested in other skills related to data management.
- You have practical experience translating business requirements into tools and platforms.
- You can work with clients at all levels of the organisation.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and business growth.
- You master software engineering skills: working with Git, Python and SQL.
- You speak fluent English and either Dutch or French.
🛠️ Nice-to-have
- You have deployed pipelines and applications with Docker.
- You lead in data engineering expertise, designing data platform components and architecture.
- You skilfully build batch and streaming ELT data pipelines, using tools like Airflow, Prefect or Dagster.
- You understand at least one data platform such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure data services, or AWS data services, and their data governance tooling (e.g., Purview, Dataplex).
